Stunning Victorian leather covered and lined dispatch writing case with contents. Fold out writing desk with pull down letter rack, lift out pen rest, ink well, pen cleaner and desk tidy. Three ‘Aide – Memoire’ panels for note taking and two lift up compartments under the leather writing surface. Includes a silver-plated mechanical pencil, bone folder/page turner, brass dip pen, 5 further dip pens and three boxes of dip pen nibs. Fantastic quality brass fittings with the leather in great condition, unfortunately there is no lock and key. Made by Toulmin & Cale of London circa 1870s.
