Original 1960’s Eames ‘Group’ Chair Manufactured By Hille of London Ltd

Totally original ‘Alum Group Desk Chair’ model 686, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1957. This chair was made by Hille of London between 1957 - 1965 and is in a beautiful orange ‘Naugahyde’ fabric. The very cool original makers sticker is on the base. (Hille also worked with Robin Day).

There are some scuffs on the arm-rests and a few small marks on the Naugahyde but there are no rips or tears. There is a small repair to the base (where one side of the base joins the seat of the chair) but this does not detract from its over all look or performance. The chair is on a fixed pedestal base with nylon glides.

This is great example of a rare, early classic chair that looks good anywhere and from any angle. Incredibly stylish and comfortable!
